Daily sponsor update: We now have sponsors up to Aug. 12.
This weekend, July 30-Aug. 1, I'll be in Baltimore for
Otakon. Look for the "Kevin & Kell" booth in the Artists Alley at Table Q02. I'll have all of the books, including the newest "Kevin & Kell" collection, "On Strike." It's also available at
The Bill Holbrook Store for $15.95, plus shipping.
After Otakon my final con for 2010 will be
Intervention, a con in the Washington DC area on September 10-12. They have a really strong lineup of webcomic creators, and I'm looking forward to it.
Earlier this year I was asked to collaborate on a comic book project with Rob ("
Erfworld," "
Partially Clips") Balder and sci-fi legend Ben Bova. How could I say no?

I've just completed penciling and inking 24 pages of "Duel in the Somme," which will debut at Intervention. I really enjoyed this experience as it allowed me to use artistic muscles I hadn't employed before. Rob has more details on his website
here. Even better, it's now being colored by "K&K" colorists
Terrence and
Isabel Marks so you know the results will be fantastic.
I was recently interviewed for a podcast, which you can listen to
here.
As previously mentioned, The Bill Holbrook Store has "
On the Fastrack: New Hair Day" and "
Safe Havens: Taking Wing." We also have the remaining stock of Plan Nine collections, which are discounted
here, and I've completed the artwork for the next books, entitled "On the Fastrack: Merger!" and "Safe Havens: Resident Advisor" and handed it the publisher. As previously noted, the websites of "
On the Fastrack" and "
Safe Havens" have been redesigned. Remember to now access "Fastrack" at
The Washington Post and "Safe Havens" at the
Seattle P-I.
In other Fastrack news, Bud Spore, the strip's IT guru, is now posting weekly commentary of the events going on in that strip. You can experience what exists of his personality
here. Please write comments; he's lonely.
I'm honored and delighted that the Mensa organization has selected "Kevin & Kell" as one of its
Top 50 Websites. Thanks!
